September 2010 Virginia legislation was passed that required students under age 19 along with parents or guardian, must participate in a 90 minute driver education component as a part in the classroom.

Areas Legislation was passed in the counties of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
The courses include the following:
  • 1. Parental responsibilities regarding juvenile driving
  • 2. Juvenile driving restrictions
  • 3. Driving consequences of driving while intoxicated
  • 4. Class about underage driving
